Stockport County FC don’t currently own their own ground, so they’ve launched a Million Dollar Homepage-esque fundraising attempt to raise the million pounds they need to buy the stadium back.
Called Ground for a Pound, their new site offers visitors the chance to buy a number of pixels on a picture of the ground at £1 per pixel. You can attach a link to your pixel space back to your own site, if you’d like, but the best bit of it all in my opinion is that once the million has been raised, one pixel owner will be chosen at random and given the opportunity to name one of the stands - now that would be great!
Match of the Dave has purchased some pixels, look out for them being activated soon.
